New Adventure took its very first step with a special New Year’s tour held at the beginning of 2024.
“If you come to Japan, we want you to experience more than just the tourist attractions. We want you to discover what everyday life and culture in Japan truly feel like.”
With this idea in mind, we created a rather special journey: welcoming our travelers into the founder’s family home to celebrate the New Year together.
On New Year’s Eve, we shared toshikoshi soba, traditional year-crossing noodles. After welcoming the New Year, we visited a local shrine for hatsumode, the first shrine visit of the year, and gathered around the table to enjoy osechi, traditional Japanese New Year’s cuisine. It was an opportunity for our travelers to experience Japanese New Year traditions firsthand.
This journey became the starting point for New Adventure and inspired the concept that continues to guide us today:
“Experience Japan like a local.”
From there, we began creating a wide variety of experiences that connect travelers with local communities and bring people together—from Setsubun celebrations and cherry blossom tours around the Seto Inland Sea to study-abroad experience tours with APU, local festival tours, and special collaborations with influencers.
We also began creating custom-made tours, designed around the individual wishes and interests of each traveler.
As we learned how to plan and operate these new kinds of journeys, there was plenty of trial and error. But one question always remained at the heart of everything we did:
“How can we make this experience even more meaningful and enjoyable for our travelers?”
With that question in mind, we have continued to create every journey with care.
New Adventure will continue to offer journeys that go beyond simply “seeing” Japan—journeys that allow you to truly experience it.
In 2025, New Adventure took another step forward, bringing more uniquely Japanese experiences to travelers and exploring new destinations across the country.
Following the wonderful response to our first New Year’s tour in 2024, we held our second New Year’s tour.
This time, we welcomed even more travelers into the founder’s family home. Together, we celebrated the arrival of the New Year and experienced Japanese New Year traditions, creating a truly special time filled with warmth and smiles.
Throughout the year, we created journeys that allowed travelers to experience the diverse beauty of Japan: staying overnight in the traditional gassho-zukuri village of Shirakawa-go, cycling around the Seto Inland Sea, walking the UNESCO World Heritage Kumano Kodo pilgrimage routes, enjoying breathtaking views of Mount Fuji surrounded by cherry blossoms, and experiencing the spectacular Nagaoka Fireworks Festival, one of Japan’s three great fireworks festivals.
On our Mount Fuji climbing tour, our founder joined the travelers in making the journey to the summit, sharing the challenge and the unforgettable sense of achievement together.
We also created many experiences that brought travelers closer to Japan’s history, culture, and people. These included tours to Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, special journeys combining a visit to Ise Jingu with opportunities to meet and dine with traditional ama divers, and tours to Izumo Taisha.
At the same time, we received a growing number of requests for corporate trips, custom-made tours, and private tours, allowing us to put even greater focus on creating journeys tailored to each traveler’s individual wishes.
2025 was also the year new members joined our team, strengthening our ability to bring meaningful and memorable experiences to even more travelers.
Not simply journeys for sightseeing, but journeys that create experiences that stay with you for life.
With this belief at our heart, New Adventure built the foundation for the next stage of our growth.
In 2026, we have continued to build on everything we have learned, taking some of New Adventure’s most popular journeys and making them even better.
Experiences such as staying in the traditional gassho-zukuri village of Shirakawa-go, visiting the Nagaoka Fireworks Festival, and walking the UNESCO World Heritage Kumano Kodo have all been refined based on feedback from our travelers and the experience we have gained along the way.
Our goal has been simple: to make every journey even more thoughtful, memorable, and rewarding.
We also introduced a new journey through the Tohoku region, featuring Ginzan Onsen and a historic inn whose atmospheric scenery has drawn attention for evoking the world of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. Through these journeys, many of our travelers have discovered new sides of Japan they had never experienced before.
At the same time, we have continued to create a growing number of custom-made tours, from corporate trips to family vacations and honeymoons, turning each traveler’s vision of a special journey into reality.
Thanks to the support of everyone who has traveled with us, New Adventure has now entered its third year.
And yet, we have only begun to realize the kinds of journeys we truly want to create.

“We would love for people to experience this side of Japan.”
We still have countless ideas waiting to become reality.
We will continue to embrace new challenges and bring these ideas to life, one by one, creating opportunities for travelers to discover a Japan they have never seen before.
