Our Team

Founder & CEO — Hiroki Shinohara

I love traveling, and over the years, I’ve explored all across Japan and visited more than 25 countries.
After all those journeys, I’ve realized that what stays with me most isn’t the beautiful scenery or famous sights. It’s the people I met along the way and the time we shared together.
Laughing together, sharing a meal, or simply listening to someone tell me about their culture and everyday life.
I believe it’s these simple moments and the people we meet that make life richer.
That belief is what led me to create New Adventure.
There are still so many places I want to see and so many things I want to try. I hope to keep discovering new places, meeting new people, and continuing my own adventure along the way.

My Story
After graduating from university, I worked as a marine tour guide in Okinawa. I later moved to Tokyo, where I worked in sales and international trade and took on a variety of new challenges.
After starting my own business, I also became involved in education. Through meeting so many people and having so many different experiences, I gradually came to realize something: it’s the people we meet who make life richer.
With that belief in mind, I returned to my hometown in Kagawa and founded New Adventure.
Today, with “Bring a New Adventure into Your Life.” at the heart of what we do, I hope to create journeys that stay with people — the kind they can look back on years later and still smile about.

Legal Affairs — Hideto Nakamura

With fluency in both Japanese and English, I have spent many years working and building relationships with businesspeople from countries with diverse religions, cultures, and customs. These experiences have given me confidence in my ability to connect with people across cultural boundaries.
Along the way, I have had some truly unique experiences—from investing in Myanmar through relationships with local people to becoming the godfather of a business partner’s son in Indonesia.
While living in Singapore, I employed team members from Singapore, Malaysia, China, and Japan. Managing such a diverse team naturally taught me how to work with people across different cultures, backgrounds, and generations.
Through both business trips and personal travel, I have visited a total of 68 countries.

Story
After working for approximately seven years at one of Japan’s major travel agencies, I founded a travel company in Singapore and spent around 30 years working there.
At its peak, the travel company achieved annual sales of more than ¥1 billion.
During my years in Singapore, I also expanded into industries beyond tourism, including founding and operating an international trading company.
I frequently traveled throughout Southeast Asia and India for business meetings, inspections, and negotiations. By communicating directly and building trust face-to-face, I developed lasting relationships with numerous international businesspeople and companies.

Hobbies
Traveling, watching Serie A football, connecting with people from around the world, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
(I trained at a gym in Singapore for nine years and earned a brown belt.)
Years of training at a high-level martial arts gym have helped me maintain both strong mental discipline and physical fitness.

Outdoor Guide — A Mao

I love cycling, and while traveling across Japan on a bikepacking adventure, I began learning mountaineering and skiing in Nagano, a region surrounded by some of Japan’s highest mountains.
During my time in Nagano, I guided people through Kamikochi in winter, where we experienced the breathtaking beauty of snow-covered mountains surrounded by ice and silence.
I also explored the magnificent nature of the Norikura Highlands by bicycle, enjoying its spectacular landscapes and relaxing hot springs along the way.
When I travel, I love discovering the history and culture of each region. I especially enjoy uncovering the hidden stories found in Japan’s small towns and villages and imagining the lives and histories behind them.

Guide & Designer — Go

Originally from Kaohsiung, I love experiencing local culture and connecting with people. Rather than rushing from one sightseeing spot to another, I prefer slowing down and exploring local streets, traditional markets, and neighborhoods where everyday life unfolds. Through these encounters, I enjoy discovering the stories behind each place and experiencing the authentic warmth and character of a city.
I also love capturing meaningful moments through photography. Whether it is a quiet street corner or a memorable local meal, I enjoy preserving the small, heartfelt moments that make each journey special. I look forward to exploring Japan with travelers, experiencing local culture together, and creating wonderful memories along the way.
I hope to meet travelers from all over the world and discover new people and stories through every journey. To me, travel should be more than simply being able to say, “I’ve been there.” It should be an opportunity to step into local life, experience the culture, and connect with the people who make each place unique. I hope that the simple yet precious moments we share along the way will become memories that bring a smile whenever you look back on them.
